About The Position

Under the leadership of the department director and the supervision of an RN, the Surgical Technologist is responsible and accountable for working intra-operatively in the preparation and handling of supplies and equipment to maintain a safe and therapeutic surgical environment for patients, in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures. Important dimensions of the position include quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations, and broad professional knowledge.

Requirements

• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS is required.
• A minimum of one year of scrub experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital or multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of a surgical technologist training program is strongly preferred; extensive hospital surgical technologist experience may be considered in lieu of program graduation.
• Surgical Technologist certification is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of one year of scrub experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care hospital or multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center.
