About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist for Memorial Care OPSC Long Beach. The role supports operative and other invasive procedures by functioning as a scrub person, preparing and cleaning surgical instruments, and assisting with procedure-room turnover. The position is listed as a pool role. The hourly pay range is USD $35.00 to USD $45.00.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certification.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years of previous operating room experience.
• Successfully completed a surgical technology training program in the United States Armed Forces, National Guard, or United States Public Health Service.

Nice To Haves

• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
