About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Clay in Fleming Island, Florida. The role is PRN with various shifts and is located in the Main Building. Requirements

• Less than 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.
