About The Position

The Surgical Technologist II assists in operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. The role is based in the Operating Room at Northern Light Mercy Hospital’s Mercy Fore River location in Portland, Maine. This is a full-time position scheduled for 40 hours per week, with a stated schedule of 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The position requires certification as a Surgical Technologist. Education has no minimum requirement. The work includes maintaining sterile operative fields and medical supplies or equipment, assisting healthcare practitioners during surgery, positioning patients, and protecting patients or staff using safety equipment. The role also orients new staff and contributes to a safe environment in accordance with Northern Light Health policies and procedures. The posted salary range is $24.32–$37.32. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates. The listed range may not include additional compensation such as differentials or incentive programs.

Requirements

Responsibilities
