About The Position
The Surgical Technologist II at Brigham and Women’s Hospital prepares and maintains the operating room environment and assists with the peri-operative care of patients. The role works closely with surgeons and nurses to support smooth, efficient operating room operations. Surgical technologists are expected to understand sterile techniques and work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting. The posted pay range is $35–$50.25 per hour, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus advertised. The role is part of a three-level surgical technologist career ladder.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program, or an applicable qualification or experience-based substitution listed in the posting.
- Current Surgical Technologist Certification within one year of graduation from a surgical technologist program, unless one of the stated statutory alternatives applies.
- At least two years of experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
