About The Position

Performs prescribed surgical technologist procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a Surgical Technologist. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures, up to the level of documented competency, requiring independent judgment and initiative. The role includes demonstrating clinical skills, communicating pertinent patient data, organizing and prioritizing patient care activities, and taking responsibility for professional development.

Employees must follow applicable ethical, legal, privacy, and information-security requirements, including HIPAA, company policies, and the Code of Business Conduct.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a Certified Surgical Technologist program.
• Must be presently enrolled and in good standing in a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency in clinical skills, including aseptic technique, sharps safety, instrument management, and specimen management.
• Communicate pertinent patient data accurately and use time-management skills to organize and prioritize patient-care activities.
• Assume responsibility for own professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
