About The Position

Performs prescribed surgical technologist procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a Surgical Technologist. Competently performs a variety of technical procedures, up to the level of documented competency, requiring independent judgment and initiative. The role also requires compliance with ethical and legal standards, company policies, HIPAA requirements, and information-security guidelines when handling confidential information.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a Certified Surgical Technologist Program.
• Must be presently enrolled and in good standing in a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency in clinical skills, including aseptic technique, sharps safety, instrument management, and specimen management.
• Communicate pertinent patient data accurately and use time-management skills to organize and prioritize patient-care activities.
• Assume responsibility for professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
• Comply with the code of business conduct, applicable laws and regulations, company policies, training requirements, HIPAA privacy policies, and information-security guidelines.
