About The Position

This role performs prescribed surgical technologist procedures at a technical level under the supervision of a Surgical Technologist. The extern competently performs a variety of technical procedures, up to the level of documented competency, that require independent judgment and initiative.

The role requires compliance with the company’s ethical and legal standards, code of business conduct, policies, privacy practices, and information security guidelines. Employees must protect covered information, cardholder data, and other confidential customer information and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and training requirements.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a Certified Surgical Technologist Program.
• Must be presently enrolled and in good standing in a CAAHEP-accredited Surgical Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competency in clinical skills, including aseptic technique, sharps safety, instrument management, and specimen management.
• Communicate pertinent patient data accurately and use time management skills to organize and prioritize patient care activities.
• Assume responsibility for own professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
• Comply with HIPAA, privacy and information security policies, the Code of Business Conduct, applicable laws and regulations, and company training requirements.
