About The Position

The Surgery Department is looking for a Surgical Technician to join their growing team! This role is responsible for assisting in surgical procedures by preparing the operating room, maintaining a sterile environment, and supporting the surgical team. This role ensures instruments and supplies are available and functioning properly to promote safe, efficient patient care.

Requirements

• Certified Surgical Technologist
• BLS certification
• Meets health requirements
• Previous experience in surgical care services with knowledge of aseptic principles preferred
• Must be able to deal with multiple priorities calmly
• Good organizational skills
• Good time management skills, can prioritize
• Resourceful – aware of resources available for use
• Able to work independently
• Quick learner
• Able to work with all types of people
• Communication skills
• Requires decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills
• Must have an understanding of the physical and emotional stresses that occur with illness and disease and be able to work with individuals under these stresses
• Must be able to interact and practice in collaboration with a variety of healthcare professionals
• Must have the ability to motivate people and create a positive work environment
• Must have the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively
• Must display a high degree of emotional maturity while keeping difficult situations in proper perspective
