About The Position

The Surgical Technician in Endoscopy supports clinical nursing staff and endoscopy teams by maintaining a clean, well-supplied, and safe procedural environment. The role contributes to patient safety and the efficient operation of procedure rooms through endoscope decontamination, supply management, equipment transport, hazardous-waste disposal, and assistance with patient movement. The position is based at Henry Ford Health’s Moross Road campus.

Requirements

• Ability to follow policies and procedures for cleaning, waste disposal, and supply management.
• Physical capability to assist with patient positioning, lifting, and moving.
• BCLS.

Nice To Haves

• Endoscopy experience.
• Experience in an OR, ICU, surgical, or procedural area.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level cleaning of endoscopes daily, ensuring thorough decontamination and disinfection.
• Transport case carts, equipment, and supplies.
• Dispose of hazardous waste according to established policies and procedures.
• Monitor and maintain supply inventories to ensure appropriate par levels are consistently met.
• Assist with patient positioning, lifting, and moving as directed by clinical nursing staff.
