Surgical Technician - General Surgery
About The Position
The Surgical Technician prepares for and understands the surgical procedure to be performed, sets up and maintains a sterile field, and assists the surgeon, circulating nurse, and other surgical team members. The role maintains familiarity with operating room equipment and instruments, including their function and proper care. The Surgical Technician also takes responsibility for care of specimens and performs other related duties as assigned. The position is with Providence St. Patrick Hospital, where caregivers support patient-focused, whole-person care built on understanding, commitment, and mutual respect.
Requirements
- Completion of a Surgical Tech program.
- Upon hire, National Certified Surgical Technologist certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
- Upon hire, National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

- One year of Operating Room experience.
