About The Position

Under the supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Surgical Technician will actively assist in coordinating the day-to-day activities in the assigned Service Line. The Coordinator takes a leading role in servicing and orienting new staff, performance improvement, scheduling, working with physicians to improve outcomes, and precepting new employees. The Technical Coordinator ensures effective communication with physicians, circulating nurses, surgical technicians, ancillary staff, and patients to maintain an environment conducive to patient well-being.

Requirements

Good organizational skills.
Acute care experience.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certificate.
Possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
Demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
Must be able to provide proof of work authorization.

Nice To Haves

Minimum five years of experience in the Service Line.
Surgical Tech Certificate.
Graduate from an accredited Surgical Tech program.
Completion of a Medical Terminology class or knowledge of medical terminology.
Computer knowledge.
High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms.
