About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a Surgical Tech to work as part of the team delivering surgical care. Under general supervision and according to established procedures, the Surgical Tech anticipates the surgeon’s next move to help procedures run smoothly and efficiently. This is a part-time position of 48 hours biweekly, with a 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. schedule and weekend and holiday rotation. The role is based at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana, in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area. Requirements
- Graduate of a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Obtain the Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) within one year of hire; in lieu of certification, 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist is required.
- Obtain BLS for Healthcare Provider certification from AHA, ARC, or AHSI within 30 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- One year of operating room (OR) experience preferred.
