Surgical Tech - 72 Hours Biweekly - Days & Nights
About The Position
Essentia Health is seeking a surgical technologist to serve in the operating room at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. The role works 72 hours biweekly, in five 8-hour shifts one week and four 8-hour shifts the next. Shift times are 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., and 11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m. The position follows a rotating day/night schedule, with one weekend and four night shifts required on a four-week rotation and a holiday rotation. There is no call obligation. Relocation assistance is available. The surgical technologist functions under the supervision of an RN, providing technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages. The role also involves tasks relating to instrumentation, equipment, prostheses, and supplies, as well as other duties assigned by the department. The position is at St. Mary’s Medical Center, a regional Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
- AHA Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification is required within one month of hire.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical interventions in the Operating Room to patients of all ages under the supervision of an RN.
