About The Position

The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery, promotes patient safety during surgery, assists the surgeon, and cares for the patient, instruments, and supplies used in surgery. As a member of the surgical team, the role promotes patient safety and requires the knowledge and skills to assist in caring for patients across all age groups: neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Requirements

• Two years of current experience required.
• COVID vaccine required.
• Knowledge and skills required to assist in effectively caring for patients of all age groups: neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the Operating Room prior to surgery.
• Promote patient safety during surgery as a member of the surgical team.
• Provide assistance to the surgeon during surgery.
• Care for the patient during surgery.
• Care for instruments and supplies used in surgery.
