About The Position

Scripps Health is seeking a Surgical Tech to join the team at Scripps Memorial La Jolla, a magnet facility with 19 operating rooms and 4 cardiac operating rooms. The department performs a wide variety of surgeries, including trauma and heart surgery. This is a full-time, 12-hour varied-shift position. The role offers patient-centered healthcare work alongside caregivers at a nationally recognized medical center. The posting notes a $4,000 new-hire incentive and a $3,000 relocation incentive for candidates moving from 100 or more miles away, subject to eligibility criteria. Internal candidates and rehires who left Scripps less than three years ago are not eligible for hiring incentives. To remain eligible for a retention incentive, employees must remain in their originally hired FTE status and shift if specified in the offer letter, department or specialty, and job title. Transfers to other locations are reviewed case by case and may result in forfeiting the remaining incentive unless the offer letter says otherwise.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist, or completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist training program.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to multitask and work well in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Nice To Haves

• 2 years of experience.
• CST certification.
