About The Position
SCA Health is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist for Memorial Care Surgery Center Saddleback. The role supports operative and other invasive procedures by functioning as a scrub person, preparing instruments for processing, and helping clean and prepare procedure rooms between patients. The position is part of SCA Health, an organization within Optum that supports a network of ambulatory surgical centers, specialty physician practice clinics, labs, and surgical hospitals. The listed pay range is USD $30.00 to $46.00 per hour. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certification.
- Completion of a Surgical Technologist course.
- Two years of previous operating room experience.
- Successfully completed a surgical technology training program in the United States armed forces, National Guard, or United States Public Health Service.
Nice To Haves
- ASC experience preferred.
- ORT certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to the decontamination areas.
- Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
