About The Position

SCA Health is hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for Surgery Center of Durbin. The CST functions as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures, cleans and prepares surgical instruments for processing, and transports them to decontamination areas. The role also assists with post-procedure cleaning of operating or other invasive procedure rooms and prepares rooms for subsequent patients. The position pays USD $28.00–$32.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
• Successful completion of a BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
• Current Surgical Technologist certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
