About The Position
Beacon Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is a nationally known orthopedic and sports medicine provider with more than 20 locations across Southwest Ohio, Northern Kentucky, and Southeastern Indiana. The role is with SCA Health, which supports a network of ambulatory surgical centers, specialty physician practices, labs, and surgical hospitals. The Certified Surgical Technologist functions as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures, prepares and transports surgical instruments for processing, and helps clean and prepare procedure rooms between patients.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technologist Program.
- Successful completion of a BLS Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
- Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
- Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport them to decontamination areas.
- Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepare the room for subsequent patients.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
