About The Position

Haymarket Surgery Center is a Joint Commission-accredited, physician-owned and USPI-owned facility with two operating rooms and two treatment rooms. It provides surgical care across specialties including ENT, general surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, podiatry, spine, and urology. The center combines advanced technology with a service-oriented approach to patient care.

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and functions as a member of the surgical team. The role maintains the sterile field and prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures. The position supports the Surgery Center’s philosophy, objectives, and goals and participates in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a Surgical Technician Program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as required by the state and/or center.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
