About The Position

The Surgical Skills Lab Technician - Sports Medicine will assist the Associate Director in day-to-day responsibilities in the Surgical Skills Lab, a world-class surgical education and research space. This role involves maintaining inventory, cleaning equipment, ordering supplies, assisting with events, preparing specimens, and performing administrative duties as assigned. Work hours vary and may include early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 4 years of relevant experience.

• Certification or vocational training may be required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains an up-to-date inventory of equipment and supplies and coordinates deliveries/returns for education events.
• Cleans or assists in the cleaning of technical equipment through established protocols and/or instrumentation Instructions For Use.
• Orders and receives specimens, supplies, and equipment for all events.
• Maintains a presence in specified events, assisting faculty and learners with equipment, supply, and basic A/V needs.
• Communicates Surgical Skills Lab and specimen prover policies to faculty and learners.
• Prepares cadaver specimens for teaching purposes.
• Responsible for clean-up after events according to established procedures. Coordinates additional/special request cleaning of spaces with the housekeeping manager.
• Some administrative duties as assigned
