About The Position

To supervise, observe and assist students enrolled in the Ada Professional Technical Center Certified Nursing Assistant Program. Provide clinical site supervision of nursing activities performed by students in accordance with federal, state, local and healthcare facility standards, guidelines and regulations.

Requirements

  • LPN or RN License
  • CPR Healthcare Provider Certificate
  • Minimum of two years full-time experience as a licensed nurse providing direct patient care in a nursing facility
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organized, detail oriented
  • Competency in basic computer/technology applications
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Must pass background and reference checks

  • Engage students to obtain/learn the skills and knowledge to successfully complete the CNA program and prepare for the CNA exam

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and observe students at designated clinical site(s)
  • Focus on student instruction
  • Assist students through observational and participative experiences to apply nursing theory, the nursing process and nursing techniques in the clinical setting
  • Collaborate effectively with students and staff within the school district and at clinical sites
  • Have a working knowledge of student attendance and accountability requirements
  • Communicate appropriate information clearly and in a timely manner
