About The Position

The Surgical Services Manager is responsible for the operational oversight, coordination, and support of perioperative services to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care, including the coordination and management of the outpatient department of Bariatrics. The manager oversees Nursing / Patient concerns for the inpatient and outpatient units, provides direct and supervised care to established plans, and is responsible for staffing, problem-solving resources, and overall issues pertaining to patient care. This role works with surgeons, manages office staff, and integrates all aspects of pre-op, post-op, and support functions of Bariatric care, with a focus on providing a safe, effective environment for patients and staff through increased communication and customer service.

Requirements

• Current Nursing licensure in the State of California or strong perioperative knowledge and leadership experience, with a background as a Surgical Technologist or related surgical services role.
• At least one year (1) of clinical experience including experience in patient care management.
• Current BLS and ACLS.
• Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence in caring for the specific age and type of patient population served.
• Basic understanding of management and leadership principles.
• Possess good oral and written communication.
• Ability to work as a team member and demonstrate customer service attitude.
• Demonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication.
