About The Position

The Surgical Services Manager is responsible for the operational oversight, coordination, and support of perioperative services to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care including coordination and management of the outpatient department of Bariatrics.

Requirements

• Current Nursing licensure in the State of California or strong perioperative knowledge and leadership experience, with a background as a Surgical Technologist or related surgical services role.
• At least one year (1) of clinical experience including experience in patient care management.
• Current BLS and ACLS.
• Skills and knowledge to sustain and evaluate clinical competence in caring for the specific age and type of patient population served.
• Basic understanding of management and leadership principles.
• Possess good oral and written communication
• Ability to work as a team member and demonstrate customer service attitude.
• Demonstrated interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Nursing / Patient concerns for the inpatient and outpatient units.
• Provides direct and supervised care to established plans.
• Responsible for staffing, problem solving resources and overall issues pertaining to patient care.
• Works with the surgeons, manages the office staff, and integrates all aspects of the pre-op, post-op and support functions of Bariatric care.
• Focus will be on providing a safe, effective environment for patients and staff through increased communication and customer service.
