Surgical Services - Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST)
About The Position
The Main Operating Room is within a level-one, academic trauma center. There are 21- OR suites which cover all surgical specialties, to include; Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. Please know that you may be expected to staff the full variety of cases that the Main OR supports. The nursing teams consists of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologist. RN’s are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures. The Main OR is a busy and dynamic nurse driven, Magnet designated department, that provides cutting-edge technology to the citizens of SC.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience
- NBSTSA certification (NCCT is not accepted)
- BLS certification
- Must have a radiation badge
- Experience with Level 1 trauma cases
- Must include all RTO at time of submission.
- Must be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams.

Responsibilities
- Will work 4x10s, days, 6:30A-5:00P with holiday rotation
- Rotating weekends
- Up to 4 call shifts (EoS-7a) per month
- May be expected to staff the full variety of cases that the Main OR supports.
- May be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season.
