Surgical Services Assistant FT
About The Position
The Surgical Services Assistant is an invaluable team member, who under the general supervision of nursing, will perform delegated tasks of stocking surgical supplies, turning over operating rooms between patients, assisting with patient positioning and prepping, transporting inpatients to and from surgery, delivering specimens to the lab, obtaining blood products when needed, and other duties as assigned. This is a full-time position with three 12-hour shifts, from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with holiday and weekend rotation. The role is located in the Southern Indiana/Louisville, Kentucky area.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- BLS certification from approved BLS course required (training will be provided)
