Surgical Services Assistant OR
About The Position
Perform a variety of duties in surgical services to maintain a well-supplied, sterile environment. This includes terminal cleaning of operating rooms daily, thorough decontamination of furniture, equipment, and air vents. The role also involves transporting case carts, equipment, and supplies, and disposing of hazardous waste according to policies and procedures. Additionally, the Surgical Services Assistant will monitor and maintain supply inventories at an appropriate par level and provide physical assistance for patient positioning, lifting, and moving as directed by clinical nursing staff.
Requirements
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Surgical Tech preferred.
