About The Position
Under the general supervision of a registered nurse, the Surgical Services Assistant performs various tasks to facilitate the efficient and smooth management of surgical and endoscopic patients and procedures in a safe and timely manner. The role is based in the Operating Room at Trenton Hospital and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, with variable hours and a rotating shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of one to three months of on-the-job training to become familiar with equipment and processes and help provide a safe environment for patients, preventing injury or delay in discharge.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
