About The Position
The Surgical Services Assistant is a member of the healthcare team who performs a variety of technical and supportive duties to assist the surgical team during the patient’s perioperative phase of care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The position is in the Operating Room South department at CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri. The schedule is 40 hours per week, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, on the day shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valuable time-management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.
- No licensure, certification, or registration is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital and/or medical experience.
