About The Position

As a Surgical Services Aide at Medical City Plano, you will support surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, safely transporting patients, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The role helps promote patient safety, comfort, and high-quality care. The schedule is 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 30 days of the employment start date.

Responsibilities

Prepare and stock operating rooms with supplies, equipment, and fluids so procedures can begin smoothly.
Transport and transfer patients safely, verify patient identity, and follow protocols for patients with special needs or medical equipment.
Assist with cleaning and turning over operating rooms between cases and at the end of the day.
Monitor equipment for potential issues and promptly report concerns.
Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the surgical suite, including hallways, supply areas, and common spaces.
