About The Position

The Surgical Service Aide supports surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, transporting patients safely, and helping maintain a clean, organized environment. The role contributes to patient safety, comfort, and the smooth operation of the surgical suite. Duties include stocking operating rooms with supplies, equipment, and fluids; verifying patient identities and following protocols for patients with special needs or medical equipment; cleaning and turning over operating rooms between cases and at the end of the day; monitoring equipment and reporting concerns; and maintaining cleanliness and safety in hallways, supply areas, and other shared spaces.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• No experience required.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and stock operating rooms with supplies, equipment, and fluids.
• Safely transport and transfer patients, verify their identities, and follow protocols for patients with special needs or medical equipment.
• Clean and turn over operating rooms between cases and at the end of the day.
• Monitor equipment for potential issues and promptly report concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in the surgical suite, including hallways, supply areas, and common spaces.
