About The Position

Performs the essential duties and primary functions of a Surgical Aide independently under the supervision of licensed staff. Independent judgment is negligible, although analysis of standardized data by established routine is required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school graduate, GED, or intellectual equivalent.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak, and hear.
• Clinical staff lifting is limited to 35 pounds; use an assisted-lift device or obtain assistance for lifts over the applicable maximum.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine duties in a timely manner.
• Anticipate the needs of health care members and actively reduce turnover time.
• Promote hospital efficiency by returning equipment and supplies to appropriate locations.
• Assist other personnel with transportation and maintaining order on the unit.
