Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

• Prior surgery scheduling experience required
• Prior experience with spine surgery scheduling preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate surgical schedules to maximize operating room efficiency, equipment utilization, and clinical staff productivity.
• Partner with physician offices to gather necessary patient information, accommodating physician requests while prioritizing optimal patient care delivery.
• Manage block times, operating suites, and medical equipment allocation to streamline workflows for the interdisciplinary team.
• Perform precise clinical documentation within Electronic Health Records (EHR/EMR) to secure insurance details and prevent administrative delays.
• Adjust scheduling dynamically to accommodate emergency surgeries, ensuring seamless care coordination and maintaining strict safety compliance.
• Collaborate with the patient admitting department to streamline the pre-surgical intake process and improve overall quality improvement metrics.
