This specific role is for a Full-Time Surgical Scheduler in Pediatric Ophthalmology, located at Dell Children's - Eye Center Far West in Austin, TX, working a Day Shift.

Requirements

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate complex surgical schedules to maximize operating room efficiency, ensuring our surgical teams and equipment are always where they need to be.
• Collaborate closely with physician offices to gather critical patient data, balancing surgeon preferences with the clinical urgency of each procedure.
• Manage the strategic assignment of operating suites and time blocks to reduce idle time and increase the number of patients we can serve daily.
• Streamline the pre-surgical journey by verifying demographic and insurance data, proactively preventing administrative delays that could impact a patient’s surgery day.
