About The Position

Cancer Care Northwest, a premier multi-disciplinary cancer center in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a fellowship-trained breast surgeon or a qualified general surgeon interested in building a breast surgery practice. This position is located in Spokane, Washington, known for its affordability, great schools, light traffic, and abundant activities. Cancer Care Northwest is the longest-established oncology practice in the region with over 50 years of experience and the largest market share in the Inland Northwest. The practice offers a partnership opportunity after two years of employment, increased autonomy, and access to high-quality subspecialties. The role emphasizes work-life balance with support from an individual medical scribe and a Surgical Physician Assistant. Surgeons typically spend two days a week in clinic and two days in surgery, with the fifth day used for surgical, clinical catch-up, or administrative tasks. Opportunities for clinical trial research are also available.

Requirements

• Washington MD license upon appointment.
• Completion of Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship.
• Alternatively, a qualified general surgeon with an interest in building a breast surgery practice.

Responsibilities

• Practice in clinic 2 days a week.
• Perform surgery 2 days a week.
• Utilize the 5th day for surgical, catch-up clinical, or administrative tasks.
• Participate in weekly tumor boards.
