About The Position

Requirements
- At least 2 years of surgical assisting experience.
- Hands-on experience assisting in Ortho, Spine, General, GYN, and Robotics.
- Strong technical skills in the operating room.
- Graduate of an Accredited program - PA/NP/CSFA.
- Ability to acquire MN state license.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to different personalities and needs.
- A customer-service mindset.
- Confidence to work independently and autonomously.
- Able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation, including: Ability to lift, sit, stand, or squat.
- Constant seeing, hearing, and speaking.
- Frequent lifting up to 20+ lbs., plus bending, reaching, standing, walking, and kneeling.
Nice To Haves
- Spine experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary surgical first assist, providing critical hands-on support throughout procedures.
- Confirm cases, meet patients, explain procedures, gather documentation, and coordinate with OR staff pre-operatively.
- Support patient positioning, maintain a sterile field, anticipate the surgeon's needs, and work in sync with the surgical team during the operation.
- Assist with patient transfer, provide thorough PACU handoffs, and complete documentation post-operatively.
- Contribute to clinical and operational initiatives, including education, training, and process improvement.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn new surgical specialties and expand skill sets.
