About The Position

ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers is hiring a part-time Surgical Dental Assistant to support oral surgeons and prosthodontists during dental implant procedures. The role involves providing chairside assistance, maintaining an organized treatment area, supporting patient comfort and safety, and following infection-control protocols. The assistant also contributes to patient education, documentation, imaging, records, scheduling, and other office operations as needed. The position is part of a collaborative, patient-centered team.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant.
• Valid certifications that meet applicable state requirements.
• Strong manual dexterity and ability to handle surgical instruments precisely.
• Self-starter mentality and excellent focus on patient safety and care.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons and prosthodontists during surgical and implant procedures.
• Anticipate clinician needs and maintain a clear, organized treatment area.
• Assist with administration and documentation of local anesthesia, nitrous sedation, and IV sedation procedures.
• Ensure patient comfort, monitor patient well-being, and provide pre- and post-operative care education.
• Prepare, sterilize, and set up instruments and surgical trays in accordance with infection-control protocols.
• Take dental x-rays and prepare materials for impressions as directed.
• Assist with medical clearances and patient record management.
• Support office operations by scheduling appointments, greeting patients, and managing supplies when needed.
• Collaborate with surgical and prosthetic teams to support seamless patient care.
