About The Position

ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers is hiring a part-time Surgical Dental Assistant to support oral surgeons and prosthodontists during surgical and dental implant procedures. The role involves assisting clinicians, maintaining an organized treatment area, supporting patient comfort and safety, and helping patients understand pre- and post-operative care. The assistant also contributes to infection control, patient documentation, and day-to-day office operations in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant.
Valid certifications that meet applicable state requirements.
Strong manual dexterity and the ability to handle surgical instruments with precision.

Responsibilities

Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons and prosthodontists during surgical and implant procedures.
Anticipate clinician needs and maintain a clear, organized treatment area.
Assist with administration and documentation of local anesthesia, nitrous sedation, and IV sedation procedures.
Ensure patient comfort, monitor patient well-being, and educate patients on pre- and post-operative care.
Prepare, sterilize, and set up instruments and surgical trays in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take dental x-rays and prepare materials for impressions as directed.
Assist with medical clearances and patient record management.
Support office operations by scheduling, greeting patients, and managing supplies when needed.
Collaborate with surgical and prosthetic teams to ensure seamless patient care.
