Dental Assistant - Surgical
About The Position
ClearChoice Dental Implant Centers is hiring a full-time Surgical Dental Assistant to support oral surgeons and prosthodontists during surgical and dental implant procedures. The role focuses on chairside assistance, patient comfort and safety, infection control, and smooth coordination among the surgical and prosthetic teams. The assistant may also support scheduling, patient greeting, records, and supply management as needed. The position pays $23–$28 per hour, depending on experience and certifications, and includes a $1,500 sign-on bonus. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with no weekend shifts required. Requirements
- Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant.
- Valid certifications that meet applicable state requirements.
- Strong manual dexterity and the ability to handle surgical instruments precisely.
- Self-starter mentality and excellent focus on patient safety and care.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance to oral surgeons and prosthodontists during surgical and implant procedures.
- Anticipate clinician needs and keep the treatment area clear and organized.
- Assist with administration and documentation of local anesthesia, nitrous sedation, and IV sedation procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort, monitor patient well-being, and educate patients on pre- and post-operative care.
- Prepare, sterilize, and set up instruments and surgical trays while following infection control protocols.
- Take dental x-rays and prepare impression materials as directed.
- Assist with medical clearances and patient record management.
- Support office operations by scheduling, greeting patients, and managing supplies when needed.
- Collaborate with surgical and prosthetic teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
