The Surgical Coordinator and WC/PIP Liaison is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position at the Center for the Functional Restoration of the Spine (CFRS). CFRS is an Ortho-Spine specialty practice with clinical sites in Shrewsbury, Toms River, and Edison, New Jersey. CFRS differentiates itself through its complex revision caseload and the use of robotics in the operating room, significantly improving patient surgical outcomes compared to traditional approaches. The practice has demonstrated reductions in patient length of stay, benefiting both patients and insurance carriers in total reimbursements. In addition, services include onsite X-ray, epidural injections, facet injections, SI joint injections, trigger point injections, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), and fracture care. The Surgical Coordinator and WC/PIP Liaison plays a vital role in the practice. This individual is responsible for coordinating surgical procedures from preoperative consultations through postoperative follow-ups. The role includes scheduling surgeries, liaising with insurance providers, ensuring patients understand the surgical process, and coordinating care for Workers’ Compensation and Motor Vehicle Accident patients, including communication with attorneys, investigators, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
