About The Position

The Surgical Coordinator is responsible for scheduling surgeries and procedures. Responsibilities include coordinating surgical procedures, scheduling and obtaining pre-operative testing, and collecting necessary documentation for surgeries and procedures. This individual works closely with patients, physicians, and surgery location/outside hospitals to providing accurate, timely, and responsive paperwork. Additionally, ensures documentation is complete to allow for accurate and timely billing. Connecticut Children’s is the only health system in Connecticut that is 100% dedicated to children.   • Understanding of documentation requirements for billing
