About The Position

This position is responsible for the successful completion of the surgical scheduling process for patients requiring elective surgery at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

Requirements

Three to five years previous experience in medical office.
Command of verbal and written English.
Positive interpersonal communication skills.
Good organizational skills.
Understanding of referral and prior authorization process.
Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with patients.

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of medical terminology.
Computer skills.
Knowledge of physician appointments and schedule management.
Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Successful completion of the surgical scheduling process for patients requiring elective surgery at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.
Work collaboratively with surgeons, the hospital surgical schedulers, and the PCP’s office staff.
Effectively communicate with patients.
