About The Position

This role is responsible for planning, routing, and coordinating the delivery and pickup of all scheduled surgical cases to ensure on-time, accurate fulfillment. The Surgical Case Dispatcher will optimize driver utilization while meeting transportation budgets and supporting cost-reduction initiatives. They will monitor and achieve established operational metrics, including turns and service levels, and coordinate expired replacement pickups and drop-offs, ensuring timely return of inventory to the correct location. This position requires close partnership with Surgical Case Coordinators to plan efficient routes, reducing mileage, overtime, and overall costs, and effective communication with Sales partners to build strong working relationships and ensure seamless case execution. The role also involves developing and executing strategies to maximize driver capacity, accounting for peak times, demand fluctuations, and operational priorities, while collaborating with Inbound and Outbound teams as needed. Maintaining accurate delivery instructions and drop-off locations, and preparing vehicle maintenance reports to ensure timely and scheduled vehicle upkeep are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant/professional experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s license with no restrictions
  • Ability to work flexible hours, as needed to support the business needs, including weekend(s) and evening(s) as needed
  • Must have the ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Work experience in a related field such as Transportation or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • Demonstrated warehouse/inventory control experience in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
