About The Position
The Surgical Care Tech works in the Operating Room at Chelsea Hospital, where more than 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed each year across a range of specialties. The role cleans and disinfects operating room equipment and performs housekeeping duties, including cleaning stretchers and equipment and terminally cleaning the Surgical Department. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible evening-shift position based in Chelsea, Michigan, scheduled for 80 hours every two weeks. On-call coverage is required one weekend every couple of months.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma.
- At least one year of previous related experience.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect operating room equipment as assigned.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning stretchers and equipment.
- Terminally clean the Surgical Department.
