Surgical Care Tech Operating Room Cleaner
About The Position
The Surgical Care Tech works in the Operating Room at Chelsea Hospital, where more than 5,000 inpatient and outpatient surgeries are performed annually across a range of specialties. The role cleans and disinfects operating room equipment and performs housekeeping duties, including cleaning stretchers and equipment and terminally cleaning the Surgical Department. This is a full-time, benefit-eligible position with 8-hour shifts and varying start times between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. The position requires on-call coverage one weekend every couple of months. Chelsea Hospital is a 103-bed, not-for-profit hospital in Chelsea, Michigan, and is a joint venture between Trinity Health and University of Michigan Health.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of previous related experience.
- On-call availability one weekend every couple of months.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect operating room equipment as assigned.
- Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning stretchers and equipment.
- Terminally clean the Surgical Department.
