About The Position

Surgical Associate – Operating Room - Full-Time, Day Shift (40 Hours/Week) starting at 6:30 AM. This role is in a fast-paced, high-volume department averaging 75 surgeries/day. As a Level I Trauma Candidate, you will perform high-acuity and intense surgical procedures, providing excellent clinical experience. The department highlights include Robotics, Complex spine and ortho trauma, and intricate plastic surgery cases.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
• Read, write and speak English
• Able to stand/walk for majority of hours of their work shift
• Easily move heavy equipment & supplies ( up to 250 lbs on wheels) without endangering themselves or others

Nice To Haves

• Previous patient care experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Completes routine stocking chores
• Assists in moving patients to and from the operating room suites
• Assists in room cleanup before and/or after surgery
• Other duties as assigned
