About The Position

South Valley Oral & Facial Surgery is hiring a Surgical Assistant to support oral surgery procedures at its San Jose, California location, with possible travel to other locations. The role assists surgeons during procedures, documents patient care, completes preoperative tasks, and helps maintain a sterile environment. The assistant participates in discussions with surgeons, monitors patient status, uses advanced equipment, obtains radiographs, and prepares detailed patient narratives. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification, or completion within one month of hire.
• Ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
• Good judgment and critical-thinking skills.
• Commitment to safety, attention to detail, vigilance, and meticulousness.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Excellent manual dexterity and listening skills, particularly in emergency scenarios.

Nice To Haves

• Previous oral surgery experience.
• DAANCE certification.
• Licensed dental assistant status.
• Radiology certification.
