Point of contact and assists patients and providers by supporting the coordination of care and insurance clearance process. Supports and accurately performs authorization clearance functions related to a patient’s upcoming care. Authorization Clearance functions provided include, but are not limited to, identification and evaluation of benefits, collecting procedure and diagnosis codes from department Coder, accurately collecting, and analyzing clinical data in support of prior authorization as required by payor guidelines to obtain authorization for the upcoming event.
