About The Position

Mervin Manufacturing, home of Lib Tech, GNU, and Bent Metal, is seeking a Surf Finishing Technician to join their Surf Finishing Team for the summer. This role is to cover an employee on a leave of absence, with potential to transition to snow production afterward. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals aiming to gain experience in both surf and snow production. Mervin Manufacturing is a leading designer and manufacturer of snowboarding, skiing, surfing, and skateboarding products, built at the world's most environmental factory by people who ride them. Founded in 1977, Mervin is the longest-running and last major board-building factory in the USA, maintaining production in Carlsborg, Washington.

Requirements

• Must be 18 or older on first day of employment
• Able to read and do simple arithmetic
• Able to understand and follow instructions
• Excellent attention to detail
• Dependable & punctual
• Successful completion of a background check
• Successful completion of reference checks
• All requirements to establish the legal right to work in the United States (I-9 Verification)
• Executing other employment-related agreements, like non-competes, non-disclosures, non-solicitations, and others.

Responsibilities

• Use of handsaw
• Use of hand tools
• Use of hand sander
• Apply resin acrylic, and sealer
• Maintain cleanliness of work area
• Wear assigned and applicable personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Work safely
• Other duties may be assigned
