About The Position

Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) is seeking a Behavioral Health Supervisor to manage programs, operations, and clinical coordination for full-time clinicians and trainees. This role involves providing support and direction to clinical and clerical staff regarding behavioral health workflows and scheduling, managing the referral queue, and serving as a primary point of contact for other system departments. A significant portion of the role (50%) will be dedicated to providing direct clinical services, including individual and group psychotherapy and substance abuse treatment, to patients within the Family Medicine Residency program.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a health care field eligible for licensing.
  • Current licensure as an LCSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCPC, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Completed a minimum of sixty (60) hours of alcohol and drug education within the last five (5) years or, within a maximum of five (5) years of initiating service delivery for OHH services, has completed sixty (60) hours of alcohol and drug education

Nice To Haves

  • State licensure as an LADC, Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, preferred.
  • Five years’ experience in mental health or substance abuse treatment setting, preferred.
  • Two years’ experience supervising in a mental health or substance abuse treatment setting, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Overall programs management, operations, clinical coordination and supervision of full-time clinicians and trainees when appropriate
  • Providing support and direction to the clinical and clerical staff regarding behavioral health workflows and scheduling needs
  • Managing the referral queue
  • Being a primary point of contact for other system departments
  • Providing clinical services to the patient population of Family Medicine Residency to include individual and group psychotherapy and substance abuse treatment
